A. Destruction and Reconstruction

"The Singularity Makeover" is accomplished with the following four sequential steps:

  2. Every instrument, machinery, weaponry and control panels, and associated computer software onboard is torn into basic units of human cognition, i.e., text, picture, sound, and the physical limit of the crew's limbs.

  4. Integrate the current advances in UI/UX pioneered by Soliloque that interfaces with AGI consciousness and Soutache and others, such as VR, AR, and 3D-Printing to the mix.

  6. rearranges all the interaction steps and strategic locations to optimize the interaction procession.

  7. UI Re-mapping
  8. UX Re-sequencing requires the remapping of UI that enables the rewriting of a new class of control software.

The changing of the overall vessel structure reduces hardware resource requirements. It also improves the versatility and quality of life for the crew.

  2. Design all the living quarters for the crew and cabin so that berthings and seat doubles as lifeboats with better life support to extend chances of rescue and shielding from elements to eliminate PTSD. They will be strategically placed for split-second launching when emergency strikes.

  4. Pioneered by deRaconteur in its previous incarnation, "space maximization" allows any cubic volume to waste zero space in terms of functional utility value for both occupants and cargo.

  6. Modular parts so that they can be shipped most efficiently and assemble as easy furniture. Quick assembly and compact shipping volumes are extra benefits to provide nimbleness.

Who, What, Why, When, Where, How, How Much

These are the seven questions a journalist asks when it comes to a news story. One of the triggers behind the design of Soliloque was asking the right questions.

Traditional UI/UX design theory worked within the confines of desktop metaphor on computers. Only the "What" and "How" are built into the paradigm in terms of HCI. However, with Soliloque, all seven questions are answered in the 3D chatroom paradigm.

The lesson learned here was that it is possible to take down the whole system and break them into user-centric pieces. Then reorganize the interaction sequence for the optimum. Consequently redefines how to interact with the computer. The same principle applied to reality becomes "Eveil - The Singularity Makeover."

When "Singularity Makeover" is applied to weaponry and the vessels hosting them, this would manifest a new type of vessel with a revolutionary design philosophy that would much better reflect a more efficient way of operating the weaponry. In the meantime, improve the quality of life on these vessels.

Why?

The current interior structural designs of vessels are "ad-hoc." They are relics from the bygone era. When new task-specific functionalities are invented and added to the existing structure of these vessels. They start an entanglement of loose ends.

Every existing instrument, machinery, weaponry and control panels, and associated computer software onboard the vessel is broken into basic units of human cognition, such as text, picture, and sound. It also takes into account the physical limitations of human limbs and dexterity.

With this destruction, outcomes the opportunity to reset and reconnect the dots with them in an innovative manner.

Experiences from Soliloque

The final units of the breaking down vary, depending on the task at hand. However, from the experience of constructing Soliloque's interface, paradigm shifts reveal themselves from the act of this complete breakup.

Future Proofing

"Eveil - The Singularity Makeover" encompasses next-generation technology that is developed concurrently with Soliloque and Soutache. Candidates include VR, AR, IoT, 5G, 3D Printing and software engineering, and other various advances. They all have different inherent qualities that are different from the old. It requires a rethinking of the construction of the infrastructure. They will be the centerpiece where the result of "user-centric destruction" will intermingle.

Interaction Re-sequencing optimizes every new task for efficiency and minimizes crew movement from a user-centric viewpoint and future proof with technology introduced by Soliloque, Soutache, and other modern technologies.

This re-sequencing is the meat of Eveil as it completely reorganizes the workflow aboard the vessel.

UI Re-Mapping

After the interface re-sequencing, the final step is to redesign all-new control panels that directly interface with the crew. These will serve as the starting point for the next generation of software design to better liaison between the hardware and human operators. It will also force a rethinking of the software architecture underneath.

Lifeboat

Seafaring Vessels

They are currently inflatable enclosures with no life support other than scant food and water. The berthings on current vessels are uncomfortable and not comforting for the crew at the emotional level. What happens is that contemporary designs separate the living quarters and the lifeboat facilities, thus creating double space occupancy and waste of valuable space on these vessels.

Eveil combines both to build combined living quarters and lifeboat spaces for maximum space utilization and provide the crew onboard with better living conditions.

With "Eveil - The Singularity Makeover," the living quarters on the vessel can be released with a simple mechanism in a split second. They will be housed within their original living quarters with all their amenities and possessions while enjoying a much better supply of life support resources and amenities.

Airborne Vessels

The same principle applies to cockpits and aircraft seats. The ejection seat becomes a fully enclosed living quarter that shields the pilots and passengers from the elements enabling it to sustain much longer while waiting for rescue in the ocean or space. The chance for survival increases many folds.

An innovative change would be to re-structure the pilot seats so that seat ejection no longer causes injury or death if a collision with the canopy occurs.

The following are examples of space maximization. Maximization of a given cubic volume allows optimal usage of every square inch of the space.

Other than being a fully functional staircase, every step is hallowed out to be storage shelves. The lower side allows a private reading space with the stair doubling as a coffee table.



Micro Mansion, mid-level

Originally called a "micro mansion." This space is only 4 feet longer than a queen-size bed. By offsetting the panels, it put every cubic inch into usage. In addition to a queen-size bed, it also houses a 6 x 3 desk.

The following is the skeletal structure without storage compartments. While there is only one person shown on each level, it is a queen-size bed shown.

In a pinch, the lower platform can also sleep an extra two people.
This design and be stacked vertically as well.

Built as escape pods

Protective shieldings enclose these micro mansions that can withstand the test of a perfect storm and have built-in perpetual buoyancy.

Nimble

Quick & Light with "minimal required strength"

All parts are small enough to navigate the corridors effortlessly. The benefit is to be able to swap different modules in and out very quickly. It will allow the quick renewal of old or damaged parts.

The parts are interchangeable and replaceable with simple tools. For every mission, quick repurposing of the vessel becomes possible with relative ease compared to the past.

Each mission may take on different composition of the crew. Cater to specialty needs in terms of gender, religion, or food preferences will be more successful with less effort.
